Ajax in the Delian Meadows camp
The battle for the Achaean Pass
This is a Side Quest in Hades (Act IV). You have escorted a messenger from Nestor to Ajax. The enemy is staging a strong assault on the Achaean Pass and will have it conquered soon. Ajax is ordered to send reinforcements, but his forces are already stretched thin and he can only spare a small contingent. You lead those men into battle at the pass.
Walkthrough
Note: Ajax only offers this quest after you have completed Flight of the Messenger.
- Talk to Ajax in the Delian Meadows to receive the quest.
- Talk to Idomeneus in the same camp to pick up the men you are to lead into battle.
- Follow the path through the Alysian Acropolis to the Achaean Pass and talk to Menelaus.
- Help fight off three waves of attackers. The enemies attack at the northern and the eastern gap in the improvised wall. Try to help out at both gaps. The two Siege Striders in the second wave in particular need to be destroyed fast. As long as Menelaus in the center of the camp survives, the mission is a success.
- Talk to Menelaus again, for your reward.
