Sword

Swords are a type of one-handed weapon in Titan Quest. Daggers and knives belong to this category, too.

Uses[]

Swords can be used by most classes early on, but get used less by mages later on. They're suitable for classes with skills that give piercing damage, such as Assassins(Warfare/Rogue) for example who want to benefit from both the dual wield skill tree from Warfare and the piercing modifiers of the Rogue Mastery, as well as classes that have skills that reduce pierce resistance, like the Hunter. They're suitable for hybrid melee mage classes like the Harbinger (Warfare/Dream), as their strength and dexterity requirement is not as high as clubs or spears, allowing a player to utilise them even when investing attribute points into intelligence.

Swords have the third highest strength requirement out of all the weapon types, and while they have much less strength requirement than axes and clubs, they have a much higher dexterity requirement.
