Hydradon ~ Scorcher
Hydradon is a type of Beast , having the appearence of a massive, bipedal reptile/amphibian with two heads side by side and a hunched posture. They first met in Ixian Woods in Act IV and are usually encountered in damp places or near water. Aside from fighting in melee, all Hydradons possess a breath attack they can use from afar, making them versatile foes to fight.
This is the only monster that can drop a Hydradon Hide monster charm.
Recommended Resistances: Fire, Poison.
Variants[]
- Regular: The ordinary ones, tend to have a mostly whiteish coloration.
- Stygian: Met in both Hades and Atlantis, these variants are stronger and possess a darker hue.
Heroes[]
- Blacktongue. The venomous ones, they can spit out a ball of poison like many other enemies, but it's easy to dodge, making them less dangerous to fight.
- Scorcher. They tend to be reddish-pink in color and can breathe fire from both heads at once, dealing massive amounts of fire and burn damage.
- Drencher: Blue-colored specimens only found in one corner of the Catacombs of Gaulos, despite the name they also have the fire breath.

Strategy[]
Without decent fire resistance, the scorchers' flame breath can quickly kill the hero. It is better to avoid fire attacks and try to not fight two or more hydradon scorchers simultaneously.

While the name, reptilian nature, marsh habitat and multiple heads are a nod to the Hydra, Hydradons look nothing like the game's own take on the creature.
