The despairing soldier

This is a Side Quest in the Orient (Act III), in the area Jingyang Woods right behind the portal in the Village of Zhidan.

Objectives

A lesson in despair

Location of the soldier

  1. Find the Soldier: Enter the Jingyang Woods from the Village of Zhidan and follow the path. On the riverbank a short ways before the first bridge stands a soldier surrounded by monsters.
  2. Kill the monsters.
  3. Talk to the soldier three times.

Reward

  • 25k / 60k / 180k experience (normal / epic / legendary)
